Product Description

FB-PKM 2 Drumstick (Moringa) is a superior variety developed through a pure-line breeding program for high productivity. It produces long, fleshy and less-seeded pods with good cooking quality. The flesh becomes soft and delicious when cooked and contains less fiber.

The pods are approximately 120–125 cm long with a girth of 8–8.5 cm and an individual weight of around 280 g. They contain approximately 70% flesh. Under suitable cultivation conditions, the variety can produce an average of about 220 pods per tree per year and a reported yield of up to 98 tonnes per hectare. Ratoon crops can also be maintained for up to three years.

The variety can adapt to various soil types ranging from sandy loam to clay loam, provided the soil has good drainage.
