Description:

BASIL POWER is a botanical crop-protection formulation containing 2% Basil Oil. Basil oil contains naturally occurring bioactive compounds that can exhibit insecticidal, repellent and pest-management activity. Research has reported activity of basil oil against pests including thrips and certain caterpillar species.

Mode of Action:

Basil oil works primarily through contact and vapour/repellent activity. Its naturally occurring compounds can interfere with pest behaviour and physiological processes, helping reduce pest activity and infestation.

Application Method:

Foliar Spray: Dilute the recommended quantity in water and spray uniformly over the crop, ensuring good coverage of both upper and lower leaf surfaces.

Dose:

2–2.5 ml per litre of water as a general foliar-use reference. Final dose should be followed according to the product label, crop and pest situation.
