Mode of Action:

Paraquat Dichloride is a non-selective contact herbicide belonging to the Bipyridyl group. It rapidly absorbs through the green parts of weeds and disrupts photosynthesis by producing reactive oxygen species (ROS), causing rapid cell membrane destruction, tissue desiccation, and weed death. Since it is a contact herbicide, it controls only the plant parts it contacts and has no residual soil activity.
